Rasty Stone

Born in Endingen a/K. I started my artistic career in 1990 in the advertising and graphics industry. Here I gained my first professional experience in design and drawing. After successfully completing my art studies, my love of art has accompanied me since the late 1990s.

Through various study trips within Germany, I continued my education in workshops, seminars and painting events and with a wide variety of artists. I get suggestions for new motifs and techniques through my various trips abroad and study trips to Denmark, Brazil, Italy, Switzerland as well as Russia and the Ukraine

Rasty Stone is an enduring and unwavering contemporary artist who doesn't want to be stylistically fixed. His works show that he generally prefers a bold and luminous palette. Rasty justifies this with the fact that colors can have a major impact on people's moods, which he constantly wants the viewer to feel.

Rasty needs the mental challenge of painting, the smell of fresh paint and the feel of brushes in his hand as the elixir of life.

His visual language is powerful and complex. In addition to the brush, he uses various utensils to apply the colors with which he experiments in a controllable manner. Bare hands are also often used. This is how Rasty finally balances the colors in the right position, which happens directly on the canvas. The combination of different painting techniques is characteristic of his pictorial experiments. Released from the guidelines of the past, Rasty's pictures also reveal what the artist has always been about: "controlled explosion of color and form".

The TraunART association was founded in December 2017 and is one of the largest art associations in Upper Austria.

Our areas of work and interests in art are widely spread:

Painting in acrylic, oil, watercolor and all mixed media, ceramics, textiles, glass, wood and stone sculptures, sculptures and objects made of different materials, as well as graphics and photography.

Works by its own members are presented in consistent exhibition activity (see events).
